Menu Group (UK) Limited, holding 100% stake in Armenia’s and Georgia’s leading restaurant food delivery services menu.am and menu.ge respectively, has closed USD720,000 pre-series a round to fuel it’s growth strategy.
“The growth money will go to become dominant in both operating markets and to expand to new countries in region” – commented Vahan Kerobyan, Director of Menu Group (UK) Limited.
The round was led by Granatus Ventures, which is the first and yet the only Armenian VC fund. Along with Granatus, other undisclosed investors participated in the round, too.
“We believe to the regional and worldwide expansion potential of Armenian IT Companies. As to the Menu Group, we are delighted by the experienced team and ability to build a cross-national business. This could be a good example of a venture, which emerged from Armenia and acquired regional leadership” – said Manuk Hergnyan, Managing Partner of Granatus Ventures.
Menu.am started in Armenia in 2012 and now delivers from 300 restaurants, while menu.ge started in 2014 and delivers from 150 restaurants. Both are the leading food ordering platforms in their countries of operations.
